The first time I watched this series in 2017 I did not finish it, I ended up with episode 5. but this year I was lucky enough to watch it again and finish it all, where it took me about three days to finish it.

as with my habit of watching a movie or series with a notebook, it has enabled me to get 36 lessons learned in this series that are based on normal life and work life.

These are the lessons I learned in the Gu family book series

  • In this world, many humans give up on being human beings. Greed and lies are becoming the norm. The world is full of depravity and slander.
  • Fear and anger make things distorted.
  • Don’t let those distractions affect your decision-making.
  • The ones you love the most are always the ones that hurt you the most.
  • You get hurt because you love and care about them.
  • It doesn’t matter how others see you. What’s more important is how you think about yourself.
  • A man needs a friend to share goals with a woman to share his heart with and a nation to serve with all of his heart. That’s the best life one can live.
  • What determines your humanity is not the blood that flows inside you but your decision and willingness to live a good life.
  • In urgent situations, the first rule of counter-attack is to attack the vital points.
  • Trusting humans only brings betrayal.
  • Jealousy is for people who don’t have something.
  • The worst thing is deception.
  • Believe me, the only thing you get from believing in humans is betrayal.
  • To become stronger means to bear more responsibilities.
  • Once you decide to attack, don’t ever hesitate. The moment you hesitate, you will die.
  • Being strong means knowing how to draw the line between mercy and mercilessness.
  • Being strong means having both a burning heart for justice and a cool head for judgment. That is why to be strong is to be lonely.
  • If you find out your origins, you’ll find your value.
  • It's better to not have any resentment or revenge, such feelings are against the laws of nature. Believe in karma People get what they deserve as they go through life.
  • Don’t be afraid of what you choose, the moment you lose yourself in fear you’ll lose everything.
  • The opposite of trust is fear.
  • Dying is not that frightening, frightening is what if make a worrying decision while I’m alive and cause harm to innocent people.
  • Anxiety brings uncertain futures.
  • No human can cheat time.
  • Trust is not something that just falls from the sky one day. Trust is something you build through time and relationships.
  • If people don’t trust you, it’s because you haven’t built up a good relationship.
  • Don’t blame others; you’re responsible for everything that happens to you.
  • Living your life only to get acknowledged by others that’s hypocrisy
  • The weight of trust is the weight of one’s relationship.
  • If you want to be trusted, first learn how to get along with others.
  • There’s no right answer to living as a human being. We just try to become better humans.
  • No matter how many beans there are when it's put into a bag. It’s just one bag.
  • Don’t lose to your fear.
  • Pride in yourself that you’ve led a good life will make you stronger.
